It hears the sound, not the word
Most apps check whether a child tapped the right letter. This one checks the sound they made — and when it hears /w/ where /r/ belongs, it knows which one it heard and what to do about it.
Feedback in under a second
The listening happens on the tablet, so there is no waiting on a connection. A four-year-old does not hold a thought across a three-second round trip.
The recording never leaves
No audio is uploaded. Nothing to leak, nothing to delete later, and it keeps working on a train with no signal.

Vowels blue, consonants red — the same colour code as the moveable alphabet, so a child moving to the physical material meets what they already know.

What it will not do
It will not grade your child, and it is not a speech assessment. Automatic recognition of young children's speech is genuinely unreliable — published error rates run around a quarter of all words at age five — so the app never shows a score, never blocks a lesson on one, and stops asking after a few tries rather than drilling a child in a loop. If something looks like it needs a grown-up, it says so and hands it to you. For a real concern about speech, see a speech and language therapist.
Questions parents ask
What do I need to run it?+
Any Android tablet or phone running Android 8 or later. A tablet is better — the lessons are laid out for a landscape screen and bigger letters.
Does my child need an internet connection?+
Only to download the lessons the first time. After that the app works entirely offline, including the pronunciation feedback.
Where does my child's voice go?+
Nowhere. Speech is analysed on the tablet itself and the recording is discarded straight after. We do not upload it, and there is nothing to opt out of because there is nothing being sent. If you separately choose to donate recordings to help us improve the app, that is a tick-box you control and can switch off at any time.
Can more than one child use it?+
Yes. Each copy is one child's seat with their own progress. Add more children by setting the quantity above, or buy again later — the seats top up on the same account.
Is my child scored or graded?+
No. The app listens and offers a hint when a sound needs another go, and after a few tries it stops and suggests you sit with them. Automatic speech scoring is unreliable for young children, so we never show a mark, a percentage or a red cross.
Which accent does it expect?+
Indian English by default. Scoring a child here against an American model invents mistakes that are not there.
