The Movable Alphabet Kannada is a Montessori language material designed to help children explore the structure of the Kannada script. This set includes beautifully crafted wooden alphabet cut-outs where consonants are painted pink and vowels are painted blue, following the universal AMI Montessori color coding guidelines for clarity. The set consists of six partitioned wooden boxes: Box 1 contains 10 pieces of each vowel, Box 2 (the “Matra Box”) contains 10 vowels (ಸ್ವರಗಳು – Swara) with their corresponding matras, and Boxes 3–6 contain 5 pieces each of all consonants (ವ್ಯಂಜನಗಳು – Vyanjana) and Special Symbols (ಯೋಗವಾಹಕ – Yogavāhaka) , sorted by sound. Each box is neatly partitioned with letters printed at the bottom for easy identification. Through hands-on word building and phonetic exercises, children develop a deep understanding of Kannada letter sounds, blending, and spelling. This activity bridges the gap between oral language and written expression, giving learners a strong foundation in Kannada literacy.
